Blizzard has announced that Battle for Azeroth, World of Warcraft’s seventh expansion, will be released on August 14.

Battle for Azeroth was originally revealed at last years BlizzCon, and while we knew it would be released this year, there was some speculation when, especially with pre-orders stating that it would release ‘on or before September 21, 2018.’

If you can’t wait until August, pre-ordering Battle for Azeroth will grant you the ability to unlock four of the new allied races, providing you’ve met the in-game requirements, along with a level 110 character boost.

The trailer shows off some of the new features that will be available, including allied races, warfronts, and new zones to explore, all accompanied by dramatic, goosebump-inducing music.

“In Battle for Azeroth, the stakes for the Alliance and the Horde are incredibly high, and a player’s faction will have a more meaningful impact on their experience than in any World of Warcraft expansion to date,” said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. “Whether they’re journeying to unexplored lands to recruit allies or fighting to secure war resources, players will redefine what it truly means to be ‘For the Horde’ or ‘For the Alliance’ when the expansion arrives this August.”

World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth will be released on August 14, 2018.
