Bandai Namco recently announced that the release of Dark Souls: Remastered will be delayed for the Nintendo Switch. Originally, the game was scheduled for launch on May 25th, but this delay will push the game back to release later this summer. Additionally, the Solaire of Astora amiibo has also been postponed to conincide with the Switch release.

The PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC versions have not been delayed.

The Nintendo Switch version is highly anticipated, as it will allow gamers to play the game anytime and anywhere thanks to the platform’s portable capabilities. Needless to say, fans would rather have the game be delayed and done right then rushed to release and done wrong. Considering how many console ports have been bungled in recent years, this slight delay is probably for the best.
