Bethesda have shown off a new trailer for Rage 2, accompanied by a wonderful musical number live by Andrew WK. In this trailer, we take a look at the world and some extended gameplay footage. You play as Walker, last ranger of the wasteland, who, in this trailer, is tracking down an artifact, to take down the Authority.
Avalanche Studios and id Software are collaborating to bring you a “carnival of carnage,” where you can go anywhere and shoot anything – you’ll have insane vehicle combat, first-person frenzies, and an open world chock full of madness, fighting sadistic gangs to find the tools and tech to crush the Authority once and for all. It’ll have vast and varied landscapes, a huge assortment of vehicles, a collection of upgradable weapons, devastating Nanotrite powers, and Overdrive, the ability to push your guns beyond their mechanical limits.
There’s also going to be a Collector’s Edition, which is now available to preorder from participating retailers. The big ticket item included is, of course, the mountable head of Ruckus the Crusher, who’ll sit on your wall, talk, and sing songs. Other bonus items included will be an exclusive steelbook, a Collector’s Edition poster, and a slew of bonus digital content:
