Shenmue 1 and 2 Remaster Arriving this August

Dreamcast classics release date confirmed

Sega has announced that Dreamcast classics, Shenmue 1 and 2 are launching on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on August 21.

The games will be available as a digital download or physical copy on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, while PC owners will be able to purchase a digital copy via Steam.

Since their original releases, Shenmue I and II have established a passionate following and are revered as one of gaming’s greatest series of all time. These revolutionary masterpieces deliver a gripping story of retribution as Ryo Hazuki sets out to avenge his father’s death and attempts to unravel the secrets behind a mysterious artefact known as the Dragon Mirror.

You can pre-order Shenmue 1 and 2 from today on PSN, Xbox Marketplace, and Steam and enjoy a 10% discount before its release on August 21.

Shenmue was first released in 1999 on the Dreamcast and was followed two years later by Shenmue 2 in 2001.
