Football’s coming home.

The demo of PES 2019 is set for an August 8 release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Ahead of its full release on August 30, the demo will show off some of the new features that Konami has in the works for players.

With two stadiums to play in – coming in the shape of Barcelona’s football cathedral Camp Nou and Schalke’s Veltin Arena, you’ll be able to play as ten different teams. Obviously, both Barca and Schalke are included in the demo, along with Liverpool, Inter Mila, and a couple of national sides.

As usual, there won’t be any online modes or career modes available in the demo, but you’ll be able to have as many exhibition matches against the computer or friends as you’d like. But your friends have to be in the same room as you are to be able to play, so retro.

Konami is pushing PES 2019 as the biggest iteration of the franchise yet, offering up more licensed clubs and players than ever before. For those of you who have any interest in the myClub mode, this means there’ll be a few more faces getting involved – hooray!

Of course, PES 2019 will be the first Pro Evo game for a while that won’t include a licensed Champion’s League mode after UEFA struck a deal with FIFA. So, it’ll be interesting to see how PES looks to make itself stand out against its main competition this year.
