What are you playing?
Each week we’ll give you the low-down on the games that have been keeping the GGS Gamer staff busy on their consoles, PCs and handhelds.
Here’s what we’ve been playing this week …
Jay
- Octopath Traveler Prologue Demo (Switch) – I haven’t really had time to play games as I’ve recently started on the night shift so portable gaming is my friend. I decided to check out Octopath as a few friends have raved about how amazing this game as and damn they ain’t lying! I am going to pick this game from my local game supplier and sink some serious hours into it during my breaks. IF you haven’t checked out the demo, you totally should as the game is a blend of old school 16-bit era JRPGs blended with 3D environments.
- Mega Man X Collection (PS4) – I only started playing this after I finished my shift on Tuesday morning. I’ve never been an incredible Mega Man player but I’m willing to learn!
Sarah H
- The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (PC) – Believe it or not, I’ve never actually beaten Oblivion, despite it being in my game library for years. I’ve decided that I should use the rest of 2018 to try an accomplish this rather than replaying Skyrim for the 300th time. I created a fresh new character to venture forth with; wish me luck!
Dan
- Gears of War 4 (XB1) – Grinding Horde mode for the last few solo Achievements.
- Watch Dogs 2 (PS4) – This was next in the Adventures of Dan vs The Backlog. It’s actually pretty interesting and fun, despite its flaws. If this is an improvement over the first game, I legit do not want to play it.
- Resident Evil 2 (PSP) – With the hype surrounding the remake, might as well give this one another run. Haven’t played it since the Gamecube version.
Viki
- Mary Skelter: Nightmares (PC) – I actually got a chance to have a go at this last year at MCM, and while it’s not running too well on PC, I’m actually… enjoying a dungeon crawler?! They’ve made a concerted effort to make it as least frustrating as possible, so it’s so much more engrossing than others I’ve played (YES, Demon Gaze II, I am looking at you).
John
- World of Warcraft (PC) – It finally happened. Sarah, being the WoW fan and all round cold-blooded Blizzard salesperson she is finally got me to play World of Warcraft. Now, having arrived a little late to the party, I’ve just been spending my time having a look at what the game has to offer. And with that being said, I need ideas for places to visit!
- Titanfall 2 (PS4) – Welp, I now terrible at Titanfall 2 again, I’m gonna have to put in some serious time to get back to knowing what the hell I’m doing in this game again.
Sarah
- World of Warcraft (PC) – Trying to play as many alts as I can before making my final decision on what to play in BfA!
How about you?
