The Gods may be old but this gameplay trailer isn’t!

Call of Cthulhu, the official game inspired by Chaosium’s classic tabletop RPG, has a new gameplay trailer, showing off the beginning of Edward Pierce’s investigation, along with a generous helping of the creepiness we hope to expect from the rest of the game.

Developed by Cyanide Studio and published by Focus Home interactive, Call of Cthulhu promises a journey that will leave you questioning everything, while you desperately try to hold on to your sanity. The characters you speak to and the skills you develop along the way will impact the direction your investigation takes, meaning your sanity may hinge on the decisions you make.

Private Investigator Edward Pierce is sent to investigate the tragic death of the Hawkins family in an imposing mansion on the isolated Darkwater Island, off the shores of Boston. Between unfriendly locals and dubious police reports, it becomes clear there’s more to the case than meets the eye. Soon enough, Pierce is plunged into a terrifying world of conspiracies, cultists, and cosmic horrors.

Call of Cthulhu is set for release on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 30.
