What are you playing?
Each week we’ll give you the low-down on the games that have been keeping the GGS Gamer staff busy on their consoles, PCs and handhelds.
Here’s what we’ve been playing this week …
Jay
- Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of an Elusive Age (PS4) – I’m still wildly in love with this game! I wish I had more time to sink into the game but juggling it with Spider-Man and life is hard… In a way, I’m glad Spyro remastered got delayed.
- Spider-Man (PS4) – Still slinging webs and beating up bad guys!
Dan
- Persona 5 (PS4) – Decided to give it another shot. Enjoying it a bit more. Still hate the dungeon design, but the combat is addictive. Although it’s not as addictive as P3/4.
- Shadow Warrior (XB1) – Just finished the 2nd recently, so I continue my fight against my backlog with this one.
- Forza Horizon 4 demo (XB1) – Because a new Forza Horizon is always a good thing. Can’t wait ’til next week!
John
- Spider-Man (PS4) – Finished the story and now I’m trying to hoover up all the extras. I don’t usually care about collectables in games, but swinging through New York is so much fun that it’s just another reason to keep playing the game.
- Night in the Woods (PS4) – I’ve been wanting to play this for ages and it hasn’t been a letdown. I’ve only played an hour or so, but the music and tone are so perfect. It’s essentially the indie films I loved to watch a few years back filled with animals – and I can get on board with that.
- Broken Sword 5 (Switch) – My review of this went out last week. Essentially, it’s a great game and if you missed it the first time around then go and get it.
Viki
- Shadow of the Tomb Raider (PS4) – Not overly impressed, to be honest. It looks gorgeous and they’ve clearly done their research when it comes to the historical and cultural context, but Lara feels as flat a character as ever, with a tired end of the world plotline not doing the game any favours. The linearity also doesn’t help – it never feels like you’re truly lost or in danger.
Sarah
- Diablo 3 (PC) – New season, new necromancer.
- World of Warcraft (PC) – Still playing. Now I’m grinding rep on my priest to make leveling professions less costly.
How about you?
