Is the WoW Classic Demo a tempting enough carrot-on-a-stick?
With Blizzcon just around the corner, now’s the time that fans of Blizzards games find out what extra loot they get included in the annual Blizzcon Virtual Ticket. The ticket usually includes different items for all of the Blizzard games, including the likes of World of Warcraft, Overwatch, Diablo 3, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, and StarCraft.
In previous years, WoW players have received exclusive in-game pets and mounts, but this year those items have been replaced with faction-specific items to go with the Horde vs Alliance aesthetic. Players will receive Horde and Alliance-themed cloaks and banners, to be able to show their faction allegiance.
“Every BlizzCon, we look for opportunities to bring new aspects of the experience to our community around the world. This year, we’re excited to announce that for the first time ever, BlizzCon Virtual Ticket holders will join BlizzCon attendees as the first people to play the World of Warcraft Classic demo we’re creating for BlizzCon at home”.
For World of Warcraft players, this year sees the biggest itemised carrot-on-a-stick to be the recently announced WoW Classic Demo. A downloadable version of the demo that Blizzcon attendees get to play on the conventions show-floor. With no idea about the demo’s content or restrictions, it’s a little bit of a mystery, but with the player-expectation hyped to the max for WoW Classic, it’s sure to be a big incentive to purchase the Virtual Ticket.
