Destructible cars are included in the update.
Ubisoft has announced a free new update that will bring a new discipline, Demolition Derby and a PVP mode to The Crew 2, and it’s out on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on December 5.
The Demolition Derby update will see competitors attempt to earn the highest score for a place in the top three within a limited time. The new mode will take place in two new arenas that have been custom built for the carnage. The Bonneville Salt Flat will pit players against one another, earning points by crushing their opponents’ cars while avoiding obstacles such as elevators and spring-loaded boxing gloves. The Tucson aircraft cemetery also features a new circuit where you’ll be able to shove opponents off the track.

The update also introduces a PvP mode to The Crew 2. You’ll start off at Rookie-level and will be able to compete against seven other players across a number of disciplines and with a selection of events that will constantly be renewed. PVP leagues will also be available for those that want to push themselves further, with higher stakes and rewards on offer.
Four new demolition derby cars are to be included in the update and will be completely destructible, regardless of the mode that they’re played in and, finally the update will also feature more high-octane contests, additional skills, and in-game activities.
Developed by Ivory Tower and published by Ubisoft, The Crew 2 is an open world racing game set in the sprawling (if not slightly scaled down version) of the United States and features various vehicle options other than the standard car; motorcycles, boats, and aeroplanes are also available for you to take for a spin.
The Crew 2 is out now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, with the Demolition Derby update set for release on December 5.
