The official WRC game returns this Fall

After a 2 year absence, BigBen and Kylotonn have announced a new entry in the WRC series which is set to release later this year.

Kylotonn has taken advantage of the extra time to improve every aspect of the game thanks to community feedback and pointers from the eSports WRC Championship. Among the improvements includes a more comprehensive career mode.

WRC 8 will feature official teams of the 2019 WRC season including the return of Citroën Racing’s Sébastien Ogier, a 6 times world champion. Ogier will also be accompanied by Esapekka Lappi. The Toyota team will be composed of Jari-Matti Latvala, Kris Meeke and Ott Tänak.

Another popular face is making their comeback during the 2019 season: Sébastien Loeb; who will be driving for Hyundai Motorsport with Thierry Neuville, Andreas Mikkelsen and Dani Sordo.

While M-Sport Ford will rely on Elfyn Evans and Teemu Suninen among others.

This new iteration of the WRC will include a selection of WRC 2 and Junior WRC drivers to be used across 100 special stages through 14 countries.

Another element which will increase the game’s realism is the introduction of a new dynamic weather system by adding random elements to the racing experience. Keep a good relationship with your weather team so you can tweak your car accordingly.

WRC 8 will be available this September 2019 for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
