All the news, all in one place.

What’s up, everyone? I’m back again with the weekly news roundup, where we’ve got all the hottest news stories in one place. In this one, we’ve got rumours that Sony is potentially buying Take-Two, a new update for No Man’s Sky, and details on the DLC for Devil May Cry 5. So sit back and read this over your Saturday breakfast, and catch up on what you’ve missed.

Sony might be buying Take-Two

Now, take this with a pinch of salt, but according to GamesIndustry, rumours are flying about that Sony may be closing a deal to buy out Take-Two, which means that they could have first party exclusivity to some big franchises like Grand Theft Auto, Red Dead Redemption, and NBA 2K, with more besides. It seems to be to do with the price of their stock shooting up, but at the moment, it does look like an unsubstantiated rumour, considering that VentureBeat are now reporting that the buyout is nothing more than wishful thinking, we might need to temper our expectations for now.

With thanks to GamesIndustry for the source!

A new update for No Man’s Sky has just been announced

… and its name is Beyond. It’s free for all existing players, and it’s coming this summer to PC, PS4, and Xbox One, bring social aspects and multiplayer like never before. Best of all, there’s no subscriptions, and no microtransactions – you go, guys! To get you hyped even more, multiplayer is only one part of it, so keep your eyes peeled for more announcements soon.

People who own Devil May Cry 5 will get free DLC on April 1

Bloody Palace Mode will be available as a free update on April 1 – and no, it’s not an April Fools joke. If you’ve not heard of it, it’s a survival mode that pits you against hordes of increasingly difficult enemies and bosses in multiple levels, all against the clock, playing as Nero, Dante, or V. Are you excited? Because you definitely should be.

Fancy going to Hogwarts? Well, now you can…

Because Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is now a thing, and I’m excited. Revealed earlier this week, and coming to iOS and Android devices in 2019, it’s an augmented reality mobile game that is co-published and co-developed by WB Games San Francisco and Niantic, Inc. You’ll be part of the Statute of Secrecy Task Force, trying to stop a Calamity, and make sure magic is hidden from Muggle eyes. You can pre register now on Google Play.

There’s new content for Fallout 76

It consists of a series of new quests, features, events, crafting systems, as well as more besides, all for free. This’ll be the first of regular patches to the game, which will eventually include things like player reporting and challenge tracking.
