Get yourself a Blackout buffet for free.
Black Ops 4’s battle royale mode, Blackout, will be free-to-play across all platforms until April 30.
Treyarch announced the news today, which also saw the launch of Blackout’s second map — Alcatraz — for PS4 though we’re hoping Xbox One and PC players will also get to try out the new map while the mode is still free-to-play.
You’ll still need either a PS Plus or Xbox Live membership to join in with all the cowering in a bathroom fun that Blackout offers but it should be more than enough time to judge what you make of Call of Duty’s first foray in the battle royale scene.
Rumours that the mode could go free-to-play permanently were doing the rounds a while back, and while this freebie will only last until the end of April, I don’t think too many people would be surprised to see Blackout move to a free model, especially after we get a reveal of what this year’s Call of Duty will be.
You’ll be able to access Blackout for free later today and we’ll update this article when we know what you have to do.
