Return to Spira.

Square Enix has revealed a new trailer for the upcoming release of Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster, arriving on Xbox One and Switch later this month.

The trailer, which you can watch below, transports us back to Spira and reminds fans of some of the iconic moments from both of the games. Yuna performing the ‘sending’ following an attack from Sin, that Tidus and Yuna lake scene plus a whole host of memories have been packed into the trailer. And of course, there’s the goosebump-inducing title theme to help set the mood.

Last year, Square Enix announced that it was planning on bringing a number of Final Fantasy titles to the Xbox One and Switch and in January we had confirmation that Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster, as well as Final Fantasy 12,  would be arriving this month.

I own the original games on PlayStation 2 and have the remastered versions on PlayStation 4 but I’m still going to get this on Xbox. Final Fantasy X is one of my favourite games from the series and I’ve yet to complete the game without descending into a jibbering, sobbing mess of emotions. We’ll see if it’s any different this time around.

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster is set for release on Xbox One and Switch on April 16
