Read all about it!
It’s Saturday morning and that can only mean one thing – yep, it’s time for another of our Weekly News Roundups, where we bring you all the news from the last week and pop into one handy article. And by some massive coincidence, here it is:
Persona 5: The Royal announced
Persona 5: The Royal was announced at the end of the live concert, Persona Super Live 2019, and will bring a whole host of new features to the original game.
As well as Kasumi Yoshizawa, a new party member for Phantom Thieves, we can expect to see a ‘third trimester’ which will add additional story elements to the game. New songs have also been added as well as extra events and gameplay features. You can check out Jay’s full article here.
Persona 5: The Royal is set for release on PlayStation 4 in Japan later this year and sometime in 2020 for the rest of us.
Hideo Kojima teases new details on Death Stranding

Hideo Kojima and Norman Reedus took to the stage in New York this week to discuss Death Stranding, the much-anticipated debut game from Kojima Productions.
“It’s an open-world action game, but it’s really something new,” explained Kojima. “There are so many things happening in the real world – in America, in Europe – everything is actually connected by the internet, but in a way we’re not connected in the real world these days.”
“It’s a different way of thinking,” added Reedus, best known for his portrayal of Daryl on the Walking Dead. “I have a teenage son, I’ve played some games where you just kill everybody. It’s not like that. There’s violent elements to it, but it’s just a different thing.”

BlizzCon 2019 tickets go on sale next week

It doesn’t feel like it was that long ago that we were talking about last year’s BlizzCon but Blizzard’s annual convention has already been dated for 2019 and tickets go on sale from next week.
2018 gave us various announcements, including the development of World of Warcraft Classic, a Warcraft 3 remaster, and of course, the fairly controversial Diablo Immortal reveal.
So what can we expect from this year? Peppered between the new Overwatch heroes and Hearthstone additions, I reckon we’re due an announcement for the next World of Warcraft expansion. And – fingers crossed – some news on Diablo 4?
BlizzCon 2019 will take place on November 1 – 2 at the Anaheim Convention Center and tickets will go on sale first on May 4, then a second wave on May 8.
Thanks, Variety.
Square Enix E3 show dated

With this year’s E3 just a couple of months away, Square Enix has revealed that its showcase will take place on June 10 at 9pm ET – or June 11 if you’re in Europe.
Will we get to see more of the Final Fantasy 7 remake? Or perhaps Final Fantasy 16 will be announced. Looks like we’ll have to wait until June to find out.
Thanks, VG24/7.
