Rare has released the latest update for Sea of Thieves for the sea-faring adventure’s one-year anniversary. Along with new gameplay features and quality of life bits and pieces, the latest patch also introduces a handful of new game modes.
At the tippy-top of the new modes is The Arena, which pits five crews against one another in a race to uncover some buried treasure. Joining The Arena is a new story adventure called Tall Tales. You can play through the story in crews or solo as you hunt around trying to put together an ancient Shroudbreaker artefact, I assume putting together an ancient and mystical relic will only have good consequences but I look forward to being proven wrong.
The anniversary update is live now so go on you little scamp, get out there and do some pirating.
