It looks like Sony is revving up the hypetrain as we make the slow journey towards a PS5 reveal. A couple of weeks ago we got the first glimpse of what’s under the PS5’s hood and now hardware giant AMD has spoken about the next-gen console as well.

Speaking with CNBC’s Jim Kramer (via VideoGamer), AMD, who are supplying the computer chip for the PS5 has said that the console is packing some “special sauce,” and CEO Lisa Su has said that the collaboration with Sony has been “a great honor for us. We’re really excited about what the next generation PlayStation will do.”

Sony raised a few eyebrows earlier this year when it was confirmed that the Japanese outfit wouldn’t be at E3, though with a slow but steady trickle of information surfacing about the PS5, we might see Sony take other routes to reveal the PS5.
