Gridlock…?
Codemasters has announced that fan-favourite GRID will be returning later this year. The fourth instalment in the series will arrive on September 13 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, arriving almost five years after the last GRID title for PS3 and Xbox 360.
Returning with its blend of professional and street racing gameplay, GRID will take players across four continents as they try their hand at a diverse set of motors and racing modes that, so far, include the usual circuits, street races, Oval races, Hot Laps, and more.
Codemasters has brought Fernando Alonso on board as a consultant for the game, with GRID’s director, Chris Smith, saying that Alonso’s “experience and knowledge has enabled us to make improvements to both the performance and handling of our cars. We could not be more proud to have signed him both in-game and as a Race Consultant.â€
As for GRID’s career mode, it seems like it’ll stay fairly similar to the career modes that Codemasters has used in previous titles but we’ll hear more about the game as we get a little closer to its September release.
You can pre-order GRID or the GRID Ultimate Edition now, with the latter giving you an Early Access version of the game for PC ahead of its September 13 release for PC and console.
