More treats for Whovians this week, as new Doctor Who VR adventure The Edge of Time gets a small teaser trailer, and those that are lucky enough to visit San Diego Comic-Con can pop along to the BBC America booth and get hands-on with the TARDIS.
Published by PlayStack and developed by Maze Theory under licence from BBC Studios, Doctor Who: The Edge of Time will be available for all VR platforms as far as we know so there’s plenty of opportunities to join the latest Doctor ( Jodie Whittaker) for a tour of the TARDIS.
In Doctor Who: The Edge of Time, fans of the Sci-Fi show will get a rare chance to experience the inside of the TARDIS and even co-pilot it with the help of the Doctor herself.
Using the latest technology, developers Maze Theory visited the Doctor Who set in Cardiff earlier this year and captured the TARDIS set with a technique called photogrammetry, to create a hyper-accurate digital reference of the iconic spaceship. Giving fans the most realistic representation of the inner workings of the TARDIS without having to actually be one of the Doctors Companions.
