It doesn’t take a detective to know that Disco Elysium deserved their BAFTA 2020 Games Awards haul.
Disco Elysium from developers ZA/UM scooped up 3 game awards at the 2020 Bafta Games Awards – a very impressive haul for a debut game from a small studio. With the awards show being hosted online by UK television regular Dara Ó Briain, Disco Elysium won 3 awards out of the 7 overall nominations it received.
The winning categories were for its Narrative, Best Debut Game, and Music Score.
“The team has been overwhelmed by the response from the global gaming community to Disco Elysium. We are delighted that so many people have fallen in love with the urban fantasy world and people of Revachol, and the hard work of the team being recognised last night by BAFTA is an honour,â€
Mikk Metsniit, Head of Publishing, Disco Elysium.
It’s extra feathers in the cap for a game that in the 6-months since its release has garnered positive reviews and praise from a wide audience. Disco Elysium is available for PC via Steam, with console ports coming later this year.
