I get it. Coronavirus can cause a lot of pent up stress and frustration. Your old console smashing, controller tossing, habits have returned with a vengeance, and now you’re looking for something in the way of damage control. Well look no more!

April 30 marks the beginning of a new chapter in the Streets of Rage franchise – and hopefully a way of venting current frustrations – with its first new mainline title in more than 25 years, Streets of Rage 4, hitting digital shelve on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One (plus Xbox Game Pass). Priced at $24.99, Streets of Rage 4, from Publisher/Co-Dev Dotemu with Co-Devs Lizardcube and Guard Crush Games, marks the return of Sega’s classic beat ‘em up and sees fan favourites Axel, Blaze, and Adam, reunited alongside fresh new fighters in a host of new scenarios, city boroughs in which to break bones, and additional combat depth for added destruction.

The trailer also revealed Streets of Rage 4’s Battle Mode, something hardcore fans may remember from Streets of Rage 2 & 3. Check out below for a sneak peak:

Soundtrack buffs will be happy to hear the sweet, sweet OST notes float in from Oliver Derivière, who partnered with series composers Yūzō Koshiro and Motohiro Kawashima, to create a soundtrack featuring “classic elements with distinctive modern direction” exclusively for the new game.

Get ready to release some rage!
