Team17 has unveiled the next installment of the long-running Worms series in honor of its 25th anniversary. Worms Rumble will release later this year for PC, PS4 and PS5.

Worms Rumble features real-time combat and multi-platform cross-play, with up to 32 players across various levels such as a multi-leveled shopping mall complete with its own ballistic missile silo.

Players can also look forward to Events, Challenges and The Lab. The latter will allow you to test out new gameplay mechanics and weapons.

Worms Rumble represents a significant rethink around the Worms experience, and not just because of the switch from turn-based gameplay. The up-to-32-player online cross-play between generations of PlayStation consoles and PC will unite the community and newcomers to the series in wonderfully Worm-tastic mayhem!”
