Set in a Cuban/American-esque tinderbox called Yara, Farcry 6 looks like a revolutionary adventure.

Last nights Ubisoft Forward event gave us lots of juicy titbits on some of the future Ubisoft franchises hitting PC and Next-Gen consoles. First on the list is Farcry 6, and although it’s still very early-doors for what the adventure will entail, the absolutely gorgeously rendered CGI trailer and James Bond-like Movie intro really set the mood for the upcoming adventure.

Starring Giancarlo Esposito who you may recognise from – well, everything – but most recently The Mandalorian, Once Upon a Time, and Breaking Bad / Better Call Saul, Giancarlo takes on the role of the El Presidente Dictator Anton Castillo. With CGI computer rendering that is so close to photo-realistic graphics that it’s almost non-discernible, it’s a tight and well-written / acted intro to a country about to erupt with revolution. The small movie gives you Anton instructing his son Diego on what it takes to be El Presidente and gives you a clear view on Antons’ ideals on why the populace must be strictly governed, and in his words “Our country is like this grenade… you must clutch our people nice and tight or we all go boom.” – Anton Castillo.

If you haven’t already seen it then check out the trailer below. You won’t be disappointed.

Also, to give you more Farcry 6 goodness, Ubisoft released the movie-style intro to the game, which gives me serious James Bond vibes in its cinematography. The music and mixture of images merging together are just -*Chef’s Kiss, and have me wishing this was an upcoming movie. Watch the trailer below and let us know what you think!

Farcry 6 is set to release February 18, 2021, on Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Google Stadia, and the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store on Windows PC, as well as on UPLAY+, Ubisoft’s subscription service.
