One devastatingly beautiful RTS for the steampunk generation.

Steampunk RTS Iron Harvest from King Art Games/Deep Silver has announced another faction video for its upcoming September 1, 2020, release. The Saxony war machine will join the other two factions Rusviet and Polania to make up the trio of destructive mech alliances in Iron Harvest.

Iron Harvest is a real-time strategy game (RTS) set in an alternate reality of 1920, just after the end of the first World War. The game features a three-faction setup with each faction offering some unique units and abilities. There is a large story arc for the three factions that include over 20 missions in the three campaigns. Iron Harvest also has multiplayer modes with Skirmish and Challenge Maps that allow you to challenge the games AI alone or co-op with a friend.

The featured video introduces the Saxon empire and then goes through a selection of its terrifying war machines. Each named after Saxon folklore hero’s, with names like Brunhilde, Eisenhans, and Grimbart. Having a history of being one of the most influential countries in Europe the proud empire is facing challenging times with its elites and aristocrats feeling humiliated after the Great War, they are now driven to re-gain their honour on the battlefields.

Iron Harvest has touted itself as being a more tactical RTS, rather than a fast-click RTS where you just zip your units about the maps without much thought. Whether this is the case or not I can’t say as I’ve not played any demo’s or beta’s, but as it’s releasing in just a few short weeks, it won’t be long until we find out. Iron Harvest will be available for PC (Steam), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
