Tembo the Badass Elephant should be releasing tomorrow (21st of July), available on Windows PC, PS4 and Xbox One. On all platforms it’ll be accessible via download.

There’s a launch trailer out, below:

Now, I’m not entirely sure what happened there. But it was all very exciting.

Tembo is a 2D, side-scrolling action platformer from Game Freak Inc. (published by Sega) where you play as an individual who’s “part commando, all elephant”. It should feature the same kind of humour and art-style that characterized classic mascot games. The developers also drew inspiration from 80’s action movies as well.

PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Gold Members will get a 10% discount on launch. Steam users, too, can pre-order now and get a 10% discount off. It should retail at £9.99/ $14.99 on Steam.

“Put simply”, they say, “it’s seven and a half tons on fun!”

Which may or may not be how much an elephant weighs, on average. Maybe. I don’t know.
