After a full five years of uninterrupted service, the OnLive Game Service is nearing its end. Sony purchased an important of OnLive and unfortunately, continuing the serivce is not part of their plans.
The service will officially shut down on April 30th 2015 and no more subscription fees will be charged until the end. Players will be able to play their games until the very last minute.
For those who might have been unaware, OnLive was a way for PC gamers to rent or try games without having to install them on their computers. Pretty neat as it didn’t take any space on the players’ hard drives.
