At an event in San Fransisco, Blizzard announced The Grand Tournament, the second expansion to Hearthstone. And here’s a trailer:

Not incredibly informative, but what a jovial song.

The Grand Tournament is set in Northrend, after the fall of the Lich King. The Argent Crusade is once again holding a tourney to find the best warriors in Azeroth- this time more for the fun of it rather than to find folk to throw at the undead.

This pack will bring 132 new cards to the table. Some of these combatants will have the new “Inspire” keyword, cards with this will have a special ability that can only be activated with the use of the Hero’s Power.

The Grand Tournament card packs will be winnable in Hearthstone‘s Arena mode and in-game gold. As well as  real money, of course. Currently, the pack is going for £34.99 on PC, Mac and Android. Blizzard says that the purchase of such a pack will inspire ”unbridled joy” in the purchaser. The expansion should be released sometime in August.
